Preferences in Default holds your personal settings. It has 3 tabs: General, Calendar, and Notifications. This page covers General and Calendar. On them you:
  • Pick your workspace theme and working time zone.
  • Set the scheduling preferences that apply to every event you host.
  • Choose which calendar your booked meetings write to.
  • Manage the work schedules and out-of-office time that decide when you can be booked.
Notifications are covered in Notifications.
Select Settings in the sidebar, then Preferences under Personal. The page opens on General. Theme and working time zone save as soon as you pick them. Select Save Changes to apply your Scheduling edits. Select Cancel to discard them.

General

General has 2 sections: the top section holds your theme and time zone, and Scheduling holds the controls that apply across your events.

Scheduling

The 3 buffer controls sit under Add buffer events to my calendar and appear only while it is on. Turning it off stops your saved buffer minutes from affecting your availability. Default keeps your minutes and overlap choice, so turning it back on restores them. Buffers set on an event still apply.
Buffers and the notice period apply across all events you host. You can configure different settings for a specific event type on the event itself in Scheduling.

Calendar

Calendar has 2 sections: Availability and Calendars.

Availability

Calendars

Calendars sets which connected calendar receives your new meeting invites. To connect a new calendar, select Add a calendar from the same dropdown. This takes you to Connections.

Work hours and out of office

2 linked pages manage the schedule behind your availability:
  • Work Hours: set the days and times you’re open for bookings. Default uses your primary schedule to generate the open slots on your events.
  • Out of Office: block date ranges when you’re away. While a block is active, new bookings are paused for those dates.
