# Google Meet integration for Default

> How Default adds Google Meet links to booked meetings through each member's Google Calendar connection, with the Calendar Default event location and the Conferencing Setup preference.

The Google Meet integration for Default adds a Google Meet link to meetings booked through Default.
It uses each member's own Google Calendar connection, so there is no separate Google account to
connect.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Select **Settings** in the sidebar, then **Connections** under **Workspace Settings**, and open
> **Google Meet**. Members see only the calendar providers on the Connections page. Google Meet
> works for them once their [Google Calendar](/settings/connections/google-calendar.md) is connected.

## Connect Google Meet

**1. Connect Google**

Select **Connect** on the Google Meet page. If your Google Calendar is already connected, Google
Meet is connected right away. If not, Default opens the Google Calendar page so you can connect
it first.

**2. Use Calendar Default on your events**

Set an event's **Location** to **Calendar Default**. When the host's primary calendar is Google
Calendar, Default adds a Google Meet link.

**3. Set your conferencing preference (optional)**

To choose Google Meet explicitly, set **Conferencing Setup** to **Google Meet** on your user page:
select **Settings**, then **Users**, and **Edit** on your row. Google Meet is added only to Google
Calendar events, so your primary calendar must be Google Calendar.

## Manage or disconnect

Once connected, the card shows a check mark. Select the card, then **Disconnect** on the detail page to remove it.
