# Apollo integration for Default

> How Default works with Apollo: connect Apollo.io (Sequencing) with your API key to add contacts to sequences from workflows, and use Default-managed Apollo.io (Enrichment) in waterfalls.

Default works with Apollo in 2 separate ways, and each has its own card on the **Connections**
page:

| Card | What it does | How it connects |
| - | - | - |
| **Apollo.io (Sequencing)** | Adds contacts to Apollo sequences from workflows with the **Add to Apollo Sequence** node. | An admin connects it once for the whole workspace with your Apollo API key. |
| **Apollo.io (Enrichment)** | Makes Apollo an enrichment provider in [Waterfalls](https://docs.os.default.com/settings/configurations/waterfalls.md). | Default manages it, so there is no API key to enter. Turn it on from its card. |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Select **Settings** in the sidebar, then **Connections** under **Workspace Settings**. Admin
> access is required.

## Connect Apollo.io (Sequencing)

The sequencing card connects with an API key rather than a sign-in popup.

**1. Open the Apollo.io (Sequencing) card**

Select the **Apollo.io (Sequencing)** card on the Connections page.

**2. Enter your API key**

Select **Connect**. In the dialog, paste your Apollo API key.

You can find or generate one in your Apollo account settings, under **Integrations → API Keys**.

**3. Map your users**

Map each Default user to their Apollo Mailbox ID, so Default adds contacts with the right
sender. See [Users](https://docs.os.default.com/settings/users.md).

## Use Apollo.io (Enrichment)

**Apollo.io (Enrichment)** is separate from the sequencing card and does not use your API key.
Default supplies the data and bills it in credits. Turn it on from its card, then add
**Apollo** as a provider in a waterfall. If you can't turn it on, contact Default to enable it
for your workspace. See [Enrichment providers](https://docs.os.default.com/settings/connections/enrichment.md).

## What you can do

* Add contacts to Apollo sequences with the **Add to Apollo Sequence** node in workflows. See
  [Sequencing nodes](https://docs.os.default.com/workflows/steps-sequencing.md).
* Use Apollo as a provider in enrichment [Waterfalls](https://docs.os.default.com/settings/configurations/waterfalls.md).

## Manage or disconnect

Once the sequencing card is connected, it shows a check mark. Select the card, then **Disconnect**
on the detail page to remove it.
